Veronica is a software engineer, hybrid storyteller and, like many of us, a late-bloomer artist. She uses words, code, dance and art to tell stories, threading community throughout. As a proud Black woman and the daughter of Dominican immigrants, she brings a vital, intersectional perspective to her work. Living by the mantra “learning, growing, loving, and playing,” she sees NYC as the ultimate playground for creativity. Currently training with Baila Society in AfroCuban, Salsa and Latin Hustle, she views dance as a joyful rebellion.
Veronica's stories have been featured in publications like The Acentos Review, Ranger Magazine and The Latinx Poetry Project. She’s an active contributor to the Dominican Writers Association and is the author of a newsletter 'To Get To the Mango Tree,' which reaches hundreds of readers.
